VERLYN J. AND VERA (Leora) THOMAS

Verlyn J. Thomas, 72, St. George Temple Visitors' Center, born in Lehi, Utah, to Jesse & Vera Malinda Olsen Thomas. He married Ruby Leora DeGraw, and they are the parents of six children and are members of the Jefferson Ward, Salt Lake Wells Stake. Elder Thomas is serving as Young Adult leader in Wells Stake. He has served a mission with his wife to the California Fresno Mission. He is a former stake president, bishop and counselor, high councilor and a regional welfare representative. He has worked as a printer and linotype operator for forty years.

Sister Thomas was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Joseph Alma & Luella Chatwin DeGraw. She has served as counselor in the Primary. She served a mission with her husband in the California Fresno Mission. She has also served as Relief Society president and counselor, a Primary president , a young women's counselor, a choir leader, and a Relief Society teacher.
