 CHRONOLOGY OF OWNERSHIP AND DESCRIPTION

PREFACE

The purpose for writing this paper was to gain a greater knowledge of the Brigham Young*s Winter Home and to share this with others who might be interested. Included in the paper is a list of owners of Brigham Young*s Winter Home and lot, arranged in chronological order, some brief summaries of the events surrounding the exchanges, descriptions of the house at various stages; the present stature of the house is explored in some detail.

In writing this paper, I used interviews, archives, books, and the guides script. I also went through the old county records, located in the Washington County Court House, regarding the house. I have had pleasure in touring the house many times.

I would like to thank all those who helped me succeed in the completion of this paper~ A special thanks to Elizabeth Beckstrom and Elder Gold for their information. I would also like to thank Mrs. Grace G.. Higbee for talking with me on the phone and taking time to answer some of my questions. I express my gratitude to Mrs. Kleen in the EOC for helping me organize this paper so it could be handed in, and also Mrs. Gregerson for giving me the opportunity to write it.
